For the stack developer, Bookbinder offers several additional aids. A single button updates page numbers when pages are deleted or inserted, including the page numbers listed in the Table of Contents, the Index, and footnotes and bookmarks. Also, the Table of Contents is automatically updated when a section heading is changed.
Each page contains a special-purpose "developer button" at the upper-right of the page. It is intended that the developer remove these buttons before distributing his/her completed stack. Usually this button is "Add Footnote", and allows the addition (or deletion) of a footnote with an optional page number. (The developer is prompted for the appropriate card id number.) For the Table of Contents, this button is "Add Topic", and creates the desired list of clickable topic-page number combinations. (You are allowed to leave blank lines in this dialog, to insert blanks in the contents list.)
The "Contents (cont)" card has different scripts from the first Contents card, and contains a developer button called "Add Contents Pg." This button simply duplicates the card, since the scripts assume that any additional contents cards have the same name, fields, and scripts as this one.
